A little scare!

Saturday was a big day for us. Dan was in Sun Valley reffing little league football, and I was in the Labor and Delivery department of the hospital. I went in for severe abdominal pain that wouldn't subside. They monitored the baby and my contractions, for 3 1/2 hours. It turned out that the pain was caused from the contractions (painful ones I might add) and my body is starting to give out.
Yes I know scary. So Dr. Dowdle (my OB GYN) gave me Tributaline to stop my contractions. The down side to that is I shook for 3 hours afterwards, then when the medicine wore off, the contractions started right back up to the intensity and frequency that I had them in the L&D department. Needless to say, Dr. Dowdle doesn't think that I will make it to 37 weeks (I am 35 1/2) he wants me to try to get there, but he thinks I will be lucky to make it to 36 1/2 weeks. Who knows. I guess we will have to see. Pretty much I have been ordered to "Take it easy"
YEAH RIGHT!!! If anyone knows how to do that with 3 children please let me know.

Dan and his horsey friend!!!

At the Twin Falls fair they have a barn dedicated to Draft horses.

We thought that this was awesome that there was a draft horse named Dan. So Danno got a picture with him. It was amazing that Danno's head didn't even come to his shoulders. After this picture was taken Dan (the horse) put his chin on top of the horse stall, about 9 feet off the ground. Amazing!

This was actually the first picture we took of Danno and the horse Dan. We kept trying to get a picture of him and he turned around. So now we have a picture of Danno with his name and a horses behind. He has also given me permission that when he is acting like this picture... I am sure you know what I am referring to... I can send this picture to his phone. It worked twice. :)

Twin Falls County Fair!!

We went to the Twin Falls Fair (two weeks ago) for my mom's birthday. The kids had a lot of fun. They have an entire building dedicated to model trains. There is a train set that is just enormous. I wish that I had taken a picture of it. It encompassed the entire room. It took 20 years to build. They obviously leave it at the fair grounds because moving it would destroy it. That, I think, was Kaleb's favorite part of the entire fair.

Kaerli was so excited when she found a horse that was her size. They had an entire barn dedicated to miniature ponies. This pony's name was Dolly, there was another pony a little farther down that right after Kaerli got her picture taken with it, he bit her bum. After that she wasn't very excited to see the little ponies anymore.

My kids just love the carrosel!!! As you can see they had a lot of fun.

Kaerli refused to look at the camera.

Kaleb was being funny... hence the look. Haha

Our Faithful Sam!

Tragedies happen every day of our life. Some in different ways than others. Unfortunately not all of our posts are going to be happy ones. Today our family has gone through a tragedy of our own. Today our faithful family friend Sam, our dog, was killed. He was hit by a car.
My parents neighbors had friends who weren't very kind to Sam, they would shoot him with BB guns. It got to the point that every pickup truck that came into or out of their driveway he would chase after it. Today he ran out of my parents yard, to chase one of the trucks and ran right in front of another car. He limped into the pasture, and laid down. Our family knelt down beside him and hugged him and told him we loved him. He died in our arms. Mikaeli has taken Sam's death really hard today. Kaleb and Kaerli just don't understand what has happened. It was really hard for Dan and I as well.
He has been a member of our family for 4 years. We got him when he was an enormously fat puppy. We got him with his sisters Minnie and Daisy. He was the best out of all three of them. Minnie and Daisy got really vicious and we had to take them to the pound, Sam on the other hand was more protective of our children. He grew up with them, he loved them. If one of the kids cried he would get really upset and come running to "Save them", and if we didn't pay attention, he would bark at Dan and I until we listened to the kids crying. He was a very good dog.
We have housed Dan's parents dog Doobie for the last two months, and we had to take him back because it was just too hard on all of us. Doobie is a good dog, but he isn't as close to the kids as Sam was.
I think that it will be a little while before we will be able to have another dog at our house. For me it was really hard, not only because he was a family pet, but it was hard, because I have already watched a family pet suffer and die. The kids were able to tell Sam that they loved him and were able to tell him good-bye before he died. All of the kids cried while he was dying, but only Mikaeli really understands what happened. Kaleb has been telling a lot of people that Sam died, but he doesn't really understand what that means. Unfortunately he will.

Mikaeli's Show and Tell

Yesterday was Mikaeli's first Show and Tell. She took two things, a statue that grandpa Ringle gave me right after Mikaeli was born, and Tucker the Traveling bunny.

Tucker was a Kindergarten project. We sent him out to family, and by May 10th (when he was returned) he made it to 8 states. The goal was for him to make it to all 50 states... unfortunately that didn't happen. Mikaeli did very well with her presentation, I am very proud of her.

This is Mikaeli's teacher Mrs Sahr. Mikaeli loves her. So far Mikaeli has been an exceptional student. Very helpful to Mrs Sahr and her classmates.

Kaleb's First Day at School

Kaleb's first day of school was September 2nd. He loves school. This is Kaleb's Preschool, Little Learners.

He was so excited to go to school this year. He was very sad when he found out that his "girlfriend" from last year Allie went to Kindergarten this year. According to his teacher he already has 3-4 girls swooning over him. He is such a "ladies boy"!

As I said before. Kaleb loves school. When I pick him up, and ask him how his day was without fail he always says "Ummm... It was awesome!!!" Then he proceeds to tell you exactly what he did during the day. He also gets really disappointed (like today) when he realizes that he doesn't get to go to school every day like Mikaeli (he only goes Monday through Wednesday). I got Mikaeli ready for school today, and Kaleb begged to go with her after I told him that he doesn't go back to school until Monday.

It pleases me that both Mikaeli and Kaleb love school. Kaerli loves spending some time alone with me, but she gets really sad that Mikaeli and Kaleb get to go to school and she doesn't.
